Who are we?

We are a group of biology and computer science students and professors working on a social project on Puerto Rico. We worked together with the Inter American University San Germán and Bayamón campuses, and the Hybrid Laboratories internship program to create this approach about the invasive species great dilemma.

What is the project about?

Taking into account the invasive species current problem in Puerto Rico we set to create an online platform (web application) where both citizens and organizations can participate in a live registration of these species. Contributing to the identification, control and management of them according to the place of their sighthings.

Project Goal

Our goal focuses in having an online record of the invasive species in Puerto Rico, being able to raise awareness in the community about the damage they cause to the biodiversity of the island, and uniting people to work together through the web application where professionals and people dedicated to the capture of these species will help so it can be more efficient.
